Use the form below to get an offer for surplus wire stored in California, or tell us about scrap copper wire. We evaluate unused full and partial reels, job leftovers and overstock, along with used or stripped copper. Call (951) 903-9804 if you need to discuss what you have.
Get an offer for surplus wire with useful photos
Clear markings reduce guesswork. A label identifying THHN/THWN-2, 12 AWG, copper and 600V is more useful than 'building wire.' For 250 kcmil (MCM) feeder cable, capture the metal and insulation type as well as the size.
If a tag is missing, send the jacket print rather than assigning a type from color. Our reel-tag reading guide explains the main fields. Leave inaccessible ends alone; do not risk moving a heavy reel for a photograph.
What to include with your request
- Your name, company if applicable, phone and email.
- The California city where the material is located.
- Overall photos showing reel count, coils or scrap containers.
- Tag close-ups with manufacturer, product number and reel ID.
- Cable legends with type, size, conductor count, metal and voltage.
- Remaining footage or weight, labeled as verified or estimated.
- Unused versus removed condition, including known damage or moisture.
- Loading access, equipment availability and your requested clearance timeline.
Keep separate lengths separate in your description. Several cuts do not become one continuous reel because their footage totals the same amount.
If the cable belongs to a customer, property owner or another contractor, say who can authorize its sale. Let us know about returnable reels or disputed ownership before including them in the lot. Reel deposits and cable ownership are separate questions.
Match the details to the material
| Your material | Especially useful information |
|---|---|
| Unused partial reels | Continuous footage and whether rewound |
| Shielded power cable | Full legend, end protection and storage history |
| Mixed scrap copper | Separate views of insulated, bare and mixed groups |
| Several matching reels | Reel identifiers and quantity for each product |
An unknown detail is better marked as unknown than filled with a guess. The wire types we buy can help you name a construction without treating it as installation advice.
What happens after you submit
We review the information and may ask questions about identification, ownership or site conditions. Submitting an inquiry does not establish an accepted price or pickup appointment. See how selling wire works for the complete process.
Before pickup, the offer, payment method and payment timing are confirmed in writing. Scrap copper transactions follow applicable California requirements. We collect anywhere in California.
Keep your submission focused and private
Use the form for wire details, not account passwords, gate codes or financial records. Crop unrelated paperwork from photos while preserving product labels and ownership markings. Our privacy policy explains how inquiry information is used and how to raise privacy questions.

Common questions
Can I submit the form before I know the remaining footage?
Yes. Mark the length as unknown or estimated and explain what your estimate uses. Include any accessible sequential marks and the original tag. Do not describe the original package length as the current balance unless you can verify it. We can discuss what further information is needed to evaluate that reel.
Which photo should I prioritize if I can only send a few?
Choose a readable tag, a complete section of cable print and a view of the whole package. Together, those images connect the product description to its condition. For a mixed scrap lot, an overview plus close views of the different constructions is more useful than several photos of the same pile.
Should my initial inquiry include a driver's-license photo?
Please keep identity documents out of your initial offer photos. The form is for contact details and material information, not a complete scrap transaction record. If identification or other documentation is required for the sale, we will discuss that separately. Avoid including unrelated people, customer records or access credentials in uploaded images.
