We are Inland Empire wire buyers, buying usable surplus reels and scrap copper wire. Contractors looking for wire buyers in Riverside or copper wire buyers in San Bernardino can send the same lot for both evaluations. We arrange pickup throughout the region.
Inland Empire wire buyers who pick up
Riverside and San Bernardino counties are our home region, so we know the warehouse corridors, tract-home builds and desert solar sites well. Tell us the city and loading conditions so we can plan the visit.
We buy full reels, unused partial reels, leftover job wire and overstock. Pulled-out conductors, insulated copper offcuts and stripped copper belong in the scrap discussion. Our California service area explains coverage beyond these two counties; we buy within California only.
Warehouse feeder lots from Ontario to Perris
Logistics and distribution are established Inland Empire industries. Riverside County's industrial report identifies construction around Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga and Fontana, along with the Moreno Valley/Perris market. San Bernardino County's industry overview also identifies logistics and distribution as a major local sector.
For warehouse construction and electrical changes in Ontario, Fontana, Rialto, Eastvale, Moreno Valley and Perris, identify feeders before treating everything as metal. Large copper and aluminum conductors, MC lighting cable, tray cable and medium-voltage service reels are different products. A warehouse address does not tell us which construction you have.
| Material in a warehouse lot | Identification that changes the offer | Keep separate |
|---|---|---|
| Aluminum XHHW-2 feeders | AL/alloy, voltage, size and footage | Copper feeder remnants |
| Copper feeders | CU, insulation type and continuous length | Short disconnected pieces |
| Branch or feeder MC | Conductor count, conductor metal and armor | Steel and aluminum armor types |
| TC or TC-ER cable | Full size/count notation and jacket rating | Unidentified control cable |
| Medium-voltage reels | Voltage class, shield and insulation level | Reels with exposed or wet ends |
Our aluminum wire buying page covers reusable aluminum stock. For 250–1000 kcmil (MCM) conductors, use the large feeder wire guide to identify sizes without rounding them. The tray cable page explains why a complete conductor-count description matters.
Housing stock needs a different inventory list
Residential tract work is another regional source of leftovers, including in the Menifee area. A shop cleanup after several phases can contain unopened coils, opened boxes, SER remnants and aluminum URD. Record each construction rather than calling the entire pile residential copper.
Romex-brand NM-B is one familiar product in these lots. The NM-B and UF-B buying page covers unused coils and reels; previously stapled or pulled lengths need a different condition description. Read the actual size/count marking, such as 12/2 with ground, rather than identifying cable only by jacket color.
SER and secondary URD also need separate entries. Similar-looking gray or black cable may have different ratings, metal and ownership. Preserve utility markings and say who purchased the material.
High Desert and Coachella Valley solar leftovers
Solar work adds a different mix in the desert portions of both counties. San Bernardino County planning records document photovoltaic proposals in Lucerne Valley, while Palm Springs documents its local solar program. These settings include different project sizes; not every desert solar lot is a utility-scale collection system.
For solar-project surplus cable, list 10 or 12 AWG PV string wire apart from large home-run conductors and grounding. Identify medium-voltage collection cable by its printed voltage, not the phrase solar cable. Report outdoor storage, damaged flanges, missing tags and the condition of both cable ends.
A Palm Springs or Indio pickup needs its own access plan. Tell us if the reels remain inside a fenced construction area or have moved to a contractor's shop. That location affects the route and loading arrangement more than the original project address.
What to send from an Inland Empire lot
Send a useful inventory through Get an Offer, with photos grouped by material rather than one distant picture of the yard. For this region's mix of large feeders, residential packages and desert reels, include:
- One tag photo per feeder reel, showing copper or aluminum identification and the printed size.
- Jacket legends for warehouse MC and tray cable, including all conductor and ground sizes.
- Footage evidence for partial reels, with both endpoint markings when safely accessible.
- NM-B box labels and the number of opened versus unopened packages.
- PV ratings and photographs of end seals on any medium-voltage solar cable.
- Separate views and estimated weights for insulated, stripped and mixed copper scrap.
- Pickup city, gate location, removal deadline and any restricted loading window.
- Reel dimensions, documented gross weights and the loading equipment available onsite.
If reels were rewound, tell us which labels still match their contents. We put the offer in writing before pickup and confirm payment method and timing in writing as well.
Plan the truck around the site, not just the freeway
The I-15, I-10 and I-215 corridors connect very different parts of our home region. Caltrans District 8 identifies work along these routes, including the I-15 corridor through western Riverside County toward Rancho Cucamonga. Check current conditions when arranging a firm site window.
A nearby warehouse can still have a difficult pickup if the reels sit behind active trailer bays. Photograph the path from storage to the loading point. Confirm the gate width, turning area, surface and whether your forklift can handle the documented reel weight.
Before pickup, keep the accepted material identifiable and grouped by reel. Do not cut a continuous feeder remnant merely to make it easier to move. Discuss the reel and loading needs so the right truck is sent.
Cities covered and copper paperwork
Our coverage includes Riverside, Eastvale, Corona, Norco, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana and Rialto. We also serve San Bernardino, Redlands, Moreno Valley, Perris, Menifee, Temecula and Murrieta. Victorville, Hesperia, Palm Springs and Indio are included, with scheduling based on their actual sites.
For scrap copper wire, expect lawful ownership documentation and the California seller records that apply. Covered nonferrous purchases involve identification, photographs, a thumbprint and payment rules, subject to statutory exceptions. Our California copper-selling rules summary explains those requirements; it is general information, not legal advice.
Common questions
Can you pick up Riverside job leftovers?
Yes. We pick up job leftovers anywhere in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Before pickup, tell us what you have and send identifying pictures. We can confirm the material, paperwork and loading arrangements before the pickup date. Advance coordination still matters, especially with heavy feeder reels or a mixed scrap load.
Can an Ontario warehouse lot include aluminum feeders and copper scrap?
We can evaluate both in one proposed lot, but describe them separately. An unused aluminum feeder reel needs its size, insulation rating and remaining footage identified. Copper cut ends need a separate description and weight estimate. Photograph the groups before combining anything, and explain whether the inventory belongs to your company or requires a project owner's release.
Is pickup in Victorville or Indio scheduled like a local yard stop?
Those locations are within our California pickup area, but their routes differ from a nearby Riverside stop. Share the actual loading address, reel count, available equipment and removal deadline. For a desert laydown yard, include gate instructions and surface conditions. We confirm the pickup arrangement around the lot and access rather than promising an arrival time from the city name alone.
