These terms of use govern access to the California Wire Buyers website and the submission of website inquiries. They concern a California-only wire buying business owned by Rocky Mitchell, not a promise to purchase every item described online.
Effective date: November 2, 2026.
Scope of these terms of use
The website describes our buying interests and provides general information about electrical wire, cable, reels and scrap copper. It is intended to help sellers describe material and discuss a possible transaction. Website use does not by itself create a purchase agreement.
We may correct or update website content. General descriptions, examples and representative size ranges do not guarantee acceptance of a particular lot. Any separately confirmed written purchase terms govern that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Information is not legal or engineering advice
Content about wire construction, ratings, markings, storage and value is informational. It is not engineering advice, installation instructions, a code-compliance determination or a certification of product condition. Buyers and end users must verify the actual product, its condition and suitability for any intended use.
A manufacturer's name, jacket legend or listing reference on this website does not certify an unidentified reel. Published product examples cannot replace original documentation, appropriate inspection, testing where needed or review by qualified professionals.
Our summaries of scrap-metal laws are not legal advice. Requirements can depend on material, ownership, transaction facts and statutory exceptions. Consult appropriate counsel or authorities when necessary; the California copper selling guide is only a general reference.
Inquiries, written offers and payment terms
Sending photos, completing a form or discussing a lot does not bind either party to a purchase. Offers become binding only when confirmed in writing with the applicable terms and required agreement. An initial estimate or informal conversation is not a substitute for that confirmation.
| Communication | What it establishes |
|---|---|
| Website description | General buying scope and information |
| Submitted inquiry | A request to evaluate described material |
| Informal discussion | Questions or proposed terms needing confirmation |
| Written confirmation | The agreed scope and conditions of an offer |
We provide offers before pickup and confirm payment method and timing in writing before pickup. Applicable California requirements remain controlling. No general website statement promises a payment speed, fixed price or collection appointment.
Material differences, including incorrect metal identification, missing footage or undisclosed damage, may require revised written terms. The detailed transaction process explains verification without replacing a lot-specific agreement.
Lawful ownership and accurate submissions
Sellers must lawfully own the material or have documented authority to sell for its owner. Possession at a job site, warehouse or demolition project does not necessarily establish that authority. Required identification, signed ownership information and other transaction records must be provided when applicable.
Certain agency-owned or formerly agency-owned material requires the specified certification of authorized disposition. Ordinary project paperwork does not automatically satisfy that requirement. We may decline a proposed transaction when ownership or required documentation cannot be established.
When sending material information for an offer, provide:
- Contact details for the person representing the seller.
- The actual California storage location or city.
- Descriptions that distinguish unused stock from removed wire.
- Quantities labeled accurately as measured or estimated.
- Photos showing material condition without hiding ownership markings.
- An explanation of whose authorization supports the sale.
Use the offer submission page for the inquiry. Do not submit misleading claims, another person's confidential records without authority, or files intended to disrupt the website. Personal information is addressed in our privacy policy.
Manufacturer names and website materials
Manufacturer names, product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Mentioning a brand helps identify a product; it does not imply manufacturer sponsorship, endorsement or an authorized-dealer relationship.
Do not assume that generic trade terminology establishes a specific manufacturer's product or warranty. Website descriptions also do not create a manufacturer's warranty or transfer any warranty rights. Those matters require review of the actual product documentation and applicable terms.
Availability and limits of liability
We aim to provide useful information but do not warrant that every page is complete, error-free or continuously available. Website access, form delivery and third-party services may be interrupted. Contact us directly if a submission problem leaves an important detail unconfirmed.
To the extent California law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from reliance on general website information or inability to use the website. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, waive nonwaivable rights or remove obligations under a separate binding purchase agreement.
California law, questions and changes
California law governs these website terms, subject to applicable mandatory law. We may update the terms by publishing a revised version and effective date. Changes do not silently rewrite an already binding written purchase agreement.
For questions about these terms, contact Rocky Mitchell at (951) 903-9804 or industrial832@gmail.com. Address written correspondence to 9743 58th St, Jurupa Valley, CA 92509. Identify the wording or proposed transaction that needs clarification rather than assuming an exception has been agreed.
